BS Scholarships - After 12 Years of Education

1.0  MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

    1.1  Merit Scholarships for Bachelor Studies

  • UMT aims at developing the human resource to contribute positively toward society. Merit-based awards are granted to the bright participants, who possess the best ability to achieve excellence.

 1.1.1  Scholarship for Bachelor Studies (BS Programs) on the Basis of F.A. / F.Sc / A-Level with equivalent percentage mentioned by IBCC.

         1.1.1.1  For All Schools and Institutes (Except Pharm-D, LLB, DPT, and B-Arch Programs)

2.0  Alumni Scholarship Policy

2.1 Alumni Scholarship Policy

This reflects the significance that UMT attaches to its alumni while upholding and promoting the core values of the University. 

  • 100% wavier in admission fees
  • 100% wavier in admission form fee/admission kit

2.2  Alumni Policy for Admission in 4-year undergraduate programs on the basis of the 2-year degree except for ADP.

  • Alumni with two-year degree programs(except ADP) will get a 50% waiver in tuition fees if they had a CGPA of 3.00 or more

2.3  Alumni Policy for Admission in MS/MPhil Programs on the basis of 2-year and 4-year degrees.

2.3.1  Alumni policy for admission in MS/MPhil Programs on the basis of a 4-year BS.

Alumni of BS programs (4 years) will get a waiver in tuition fees as per the following criteria.

2.3.2  Alumni with two-year degree programs will get 50% waiver in tuition fees if they had a CGPA of 3.00 or more

3.0  Scholarships and Discounts other than Merit and Alumni

3.1  Kinship Policy

  • The kin of alumni and existing participants (brother, sister, husband, wife, father, mother, son, and daughter) are allowed a tuition fee waiver of 20% for all kin.
  • The kinship fee waiver shall be applicable to the new candidate (kin) getting admission and it is not transferable.

3.2  Discount Policy for ILM Colleges Students Applying for Bachelor Programs

  • 100% waiver in the admission fee.
  • 15% Tuition fee waiver for ILM Colleges Students applying for Bachelor Programs.
  • In the case of merit scholarship 20% additional discount in tuition fees on already defined slabs under 1.1.1 para.
  • The total merit scholarship should not exceed 90%.

3.3  Discount policy for The Knowledge School (TKS)

  • 100% waiver in the admission fee
  • Alumni of TKS who have done intermediate from other colleges will get a 10% additional discount on already defined slabs under 1.1.1 para.

3.4  Corporate Group Discount

  • 30% waiver in tuition fee of each student for organizations nominating a minimum of three candidates. The application will be processed through the Office of Corporate Linkages and Placements and the Head HR of the nominating organization. Any such application shall be considered subject to its submission by the candidate at the time of his/her admission.

3.5  Remote Area Scholarship

  • Up to 50% waiver in tuition fee to be determined on merit for students, belonging to designated remote areas with at least 60% marks / 2.50 cgpa in previous Qualification.
  • Award of this scholarship is subject to meeting defined criteria, submission of required documents along with the prescribed application form, and a successful interview.

3.6  Outstanding Sports and Extra Curricular Scholarship

  • Up to 100% waiver in tuition fee for outstanding sportsmen having national color or extracurricular activities will be eligible for the scholarship

3.7  Scholarship for Orphans

  • 20% fee waiver for orphan students. This Scholarship will be given to needy and deserving students after scrutiny of evidence provided by the participant and a brief interview by the committee

3.8  Special Person (Differently-Abled) Scholarship

  • All certified special students and those with learning impairment will pay a maximum of 50% fee as standard.

3.9  Discount for Children of Shuhada

  • This Scholarship has been established as an honorary discount of 50% on tuition fees for the children of Shuhada.

3.10  Discount for Children of Government Teachers (up to Scale 16)

  • 20% tuition fee waiver.

3.11  Justice A R Cornelius Scholarship

  • These scholarships have been established to pay tribute to a former Chief Justice of Pakistan.
  • They are granted to bright Pakistani nationals belonging to minority communities.
  • 30% waiver in tuition fee for three students in a year, belonging to minorities with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in intermediate or graduation.

3.12  Khuram Murad Scholarship

  • These scholarships honor a great thinker whose writings and speeches have inspired thousands of young men and women all our the world.
  • 50% wavier in tuition fees for two students in a semester, with foreign nationality who fulfill the admission requirements

3.13  Scholarship Policy (Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed R.A) for MS Security and Strategic Studies

  • 50% waiver in tuition fees for students from the Armed forces / Govt. Services of Pakistan who fulfill the admission requirements of UMT.

3.15 Dr. Hassan Sohaib Murad Ph.D. Fellowship

  • Special Scholarship offered to outstanding, Young, full-time Students for completion of Ph.D. Studies in a period of 3 to 4 years in specific areas of specialization.

3.16 Dr. Hassan Murad Engineering Scholarship

3.17 Special Scholarship for Students Applying for Bachelor Programs in School of Science

  • 25% Scholarship to students who are not getting any merit scholarship.
  • 10% Additional Scholarship to those who are already getting any merit Scholarship

3.18 Special Scholarship for Students Applying for Bachelor Programs in BS Robotics and Intelligent Systems ( Only for Spring 2024)

  • 25% scholarship Awarding to those students who will applying in BS Robotics and Intelligent Systems.

4.0 NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID

ILM Scholarship Fund (ILM Study Support/Aid Fund)

  • This Need-Based Scholarship is given to needy and deserving students after scrutiny of evidence provided by the participant and a brief interview. The scholarship/Fund is treated as Qarz-Hasna which the participant has to run in three to five years installments after completion of the degree.

5.0 Rules Governing Scholarships And Financial Aid

Criteria for a Continuing fee wavier through Merit / Non-Merit Fall 2023 Onward Batches

1.1  All kinds of discounts, waivers, scholarships, and financial aid are applicable to tuition fees only.

1.2  Admission and Library fees are not refundable in any case.

1.4 Minimum CGPA requirement criteria to continue fee waiver granted through Non-Merit Scholarships for BS and MS programs is 3.00

1.5 Scholarship can be reinstated one time in all BS Level Programs. It will not be applicable to all MS/MPhil Level Programs
