Introduction

The MS Software Project Management program prepares students to plan, manage, and lead complex software projects by equipping them with the strategic, technical, and managerial competencies required to succeed in a rapidly evolving technological environment.

Students develop a strong foundation in core software project management disciplines including project planning, risk management, quality assurance, and project lifecycle management.

The curriculum emphasizes practical application through case studies, project simulations, and real-world problem-solving scenarios. The thesis component enables students to apply acquired knowledge to complex project management challenges and cultivate the professional mindset required to deliver globally competitive software projects

Program Details

2 Years
  • A 4-year BS in SE, CS, IT, EE, or CE (or equivalent) from an HEC-recognized university. The degree must be accredited by NCEAC. MCS/M.Sc. (CS) 2-year degrees are also acceptable
  • Candidates with 4-year Science or Engineering degree may apply, but may be required to take additional undergraduate courses
  • Minimum 50% score (annual system) or a 2.0/4.0 CGPA (semester system)
  • No more than one second division
  • No third division in the academic record
  • GAT (General) or UMT Graduate Admission Test – Minimum 50% score.
  • Interview conducted by UMT.
