MS Food Technology

Program Introduction

This research-based MS Food Technology program (approved by HEC) has been designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills related to food technology in accordance with the recommendations and prerequisites put forth by the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.

The key objectives of the program are to enhance the knowledge of food processing, food safety and quality, and novel and innovative product development techniques through highly comprehensive and specialized courses, and research-based case studies.

  • BS/B.Sc. (Hons) Food Science and Technology/Food Science, BS/B.Sc. (Hons) Dairy Technology, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (specializing in Food Technology), BS Chemistry, BS Biochemistry, BS Biotechnology with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (out of 4)

  • Graduate Assessment Test (GAT)/Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)/UMT entry test 

  • Admission interview by UMT Graduate Admissions Committee
