The textile industry of Pakistan is in a dire need of competent human resources, who are equipped with a strong technical background and a vision for developing new products and services.
In order to address the need for skilled and expert human resources in textile industry, the School of Textile and Design (STD) at UMT, is offering a two-year Master of Science in Textile (MSTX) degree program. This program caters to the requirements and needs of the Pakistani textile market.
The MS Textile program produces graduates with a strong technical knowledge of textile who are able to critically analyze problems of the textile industry of Pakistan. In addition, the students are able to conduct research both in industry and research institutions for finding innovative solutions to new and recurring problems.
The MS Textile program creates a higher learning culture and equips students with the pertinent knowledge and skills ready for employment in textile related fields and industries. Additionally, they are able to use comprehensive understanding and knowledge of textile production processes and comportment, in order to develop innovative applications in the area of technical and practical textile to ensure high value of quality and standards. The MS Textile degree offers a unique, exclusive and high potential field for students to build a rewarding and successful career. The graduates are able to join textile industry and research institutions as technical experts and research scholars. In addition to this, the graduates can also join the academic field.
