MS in Environmental Science

Program Introduction

The Environmental Sciences program offers a multidisciplinary graduate program. This program is intended for individuals who have undergraduate degrees in environmental studies/science, other natural sciences, engineering, or health professions. It is designed to meet the needs of students and working professionals preparing for supervisory roles in Environmental Science (research and management), with emphasis on a risk-based approach to the solving of environmental problems. The curriculum requires students to broaden their knowledge with core courses in environmental studies, to deepen their expertise with elective courses, and to demonstrate their abilities to prepare a scholarly thesis. The study of environment leads to solving environmental problems through remediation technologies, generating environmental awareness among the masses, conservation of natural biodiversity and formulation of environmental policies.

Program Details

2 Years

Students with any of following degrees are eligible for admission in MS Environmental Science, BS/MSc in any of following subject (or equivalent subject): Environmental Science Chemistry Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, MMG (Microbiology and Molecular Genetics) Botany/Zoology Geology Genetic Engineering Agricultural Sciences.The candidiate must have 4 year Bachelor or Equivalent Degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 2.50 CGPA or 50% in annual system. The candidate must have passed an entry test GRE General or NTS (GAT) with a minimum score of 60%.
